Memory disorders arise from damage to neuroanatomical structures, impairing the storage, retention, and recollection of memories. These disorders can be progressive, encompassing conditions such as various types of dementia, amnesia, Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive impairment, cognitive deficits, and encephalitis. Alternatively, memory disorders can occur immediately following incidents such as head injuries.

Evaluation:

  • Initial evaluation and preparation of clinical history;
  • Physiatric Evaluation;
  • Neuro-psychological Evaluation

Laboratory Tests:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC) test;
  • Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (automated method) test;
  • Glycemia test;
  • Creatinine test;
  • Uric Acid test;
  • Urea test;
  • Liver Function tests;
  • Cyturia test;
  • Full lipid Profile study: A group of blood tests utilized to measure the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases;
  • Glucose test;
  • Coagulation test;
  • Creatinine test;
  • Glutamic oxaloacetic Transaminansa (GOT) test;
  • Transaminansa glutamic pyruvic test;
  • Organization chart test;
  • Thyroid Tests: TSH, T3, T4

Investigations:

  • Visual, Auditory and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials;
  • Neuro-psychological assessment (2 consultations) test;
  • Clock test;
  • CDR – Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) Scale investigation;
  • ADAS – Alzheimer’s disease assessment scale investigation;
  • MODA – Milan Overall Dementia Assessment;
  • Neuro-psychiatric Inventory investigation;
  • Reporter investigation;
  • Hamilton Depression Scale investigation
  • Folstein’s Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE);
  • Test of word learning investigation;
  • Memory Span test;
  • Sternberg test;
  • Yesavage diffusion test

Imaging:

  • Cranial Computed Tomography (CT) Scan;
  • Electrocardiogram

Treatment and rehabilitation:

  • Cognitive rehabilitation program (10 sessions of 1 hour)
  • Ozone therapy (7 sessions)
  • Caregivers Program – includes printed material (1 session)

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • The above program does not include medications for certain conditions such as
    depression, blood coagulation, etc.
  • Medicaments, fluids, blood and derivatives to be used, as well as additional procedure(s)
    performed not included in the exact treatment would be invoiced separately on upon the conclusion of said treatment / procedure(s)

ACCOMMODATION:

Private room with the following features:

  • Electronic patient bed
  • Equipment for disabled patient
  • Oxygen hookup
  • Three AP meals taking into account the patient’s preferences and / or special diets prescribed by physician
  • Fully equipped private bathroom
  • Infirmary and nursing care
  • Colour TV with national and international channels
  • Local and international phone services (extra cost will apply)
  • Safe box
  • Internet service on every floor
  • Laundry services

ADDITIONAL SERVICES INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM:

  • Assistance in visa issuance and extension (If needs be)
  • Each patient/ companion will be assigned a multi-lingual field member with the mandate of attending to all of our patients’ translation and personal needs;
  • 20 hours internet service;
  • Local airport pickup and drop off; and
  • Hospital pickup and drop off (if needed)
